MARK

"I was first taken to a bouldering wall at my local gym by my therapist, who thought it would be a good way to get me interacting with people and get me out and about. I had spent most of the last 15 years, homeless or in trouble due to my mental health. I became hooked instantly and now, 18 months later, I have been discharged from hospital, I have friends and even had my first proper girlfriend. Climbing has taught me how to think problems through, how to set goals, it has given me ambition, and now I genuinely enjoy life."

Thanks for sharing your story :) The social climbing atmosphere of a shared goal really is great!
